Charles Richard Edgell

Charles R. Edgell, 73, of Hartford, passed away March 11, 2014 at his home. He was born in Daviess County, to the late Chester Charles Edgell and Margie Mary Raymond.

Charles was of the Baptist faith and was a member for nine years of the American Legion, Post 0055. Charles retired from Coale Trucking Company in Lakeland, FL in 2004. He loved spending time with family, tinkering with electronics and fixing computers. He also served faithfully for his country in the US Army. Charles was a supporter of Feed the Children along with many other charities and enjoyed spending time praying and committed his life to living for Jesus.

Survivors include, his lifelong companion of 50 years, Betty Sipes Edgell; Daughters. Mary McCrystal (Jeff), Charlene Mishkah, and Jacqui Calhoun; Son, Richard L. Edgell, and a sister Mary Norman.

Visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2014 from 4-8 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. The service will be 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Feed the Children and St. Jude's Children Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
