Charles L. Ebelhar

Charles L. "Charlie" Ebelhar, 64, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born on April 28, 1946 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Edward C. and Margaret Isabell Hayden Ebelhar. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church, which he was very dedicated to, the church Men's Club, and the Knights of Columbus Council #10725 which met at the church. He loved cooking barbeque and was a member of the Precious Blood Cooking Team. He also cooked for many different fundraisers to help youth baseball and soccer teams, for youth bowling scholarships, and for other churchs and he enjoyed golfing. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Charlie was a very giving person and was loved by everyone. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone. He was also preceded in death, by three brothers, Paul Martin Ebelhar, Francis Michael Ebelhar, and Jimmy Ebelhar, and his stepmother, Catherine Zogleman Ebelhar.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jeanette O'Bryan Ebelhar, two daughters, Beth Marie Chandler and husband Tommy of Mooresville, N.C. and Lori Ann Roberts and husband Ron of Owensboro, four grandchildren, Sean and Emily Chandler of Mooresville and Zach and Charlie Roberts of Owensboro, five brothers, Donnie Ebelhar of Christney, IN, Harry Ebelhar and wife Joyce and Hayden Ebelhar and wife Nancy, all of Owensboro, Mark Ebelhar and wife Tammy of West Lafayette, IN, Pat Ebelhar and wife Mary of Waverly, KY, and two sisters, Rosanell Ebelhar and Lela Wright and husband Elmo, all of Owensboro, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 16, at Precious Blood Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with prayers at 6:30 P.M. Monday evening.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council #10725, c/o Precious Blood Catholic Church, 3306 Fenmore St., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
