Charles Denzil Day

After enduring kidney dialysis for more than 25 years, Charles Denzil Day passed away on May 5, 2005 at the age of 67. Charles was born to Roy C. Day and Hazel Trogdon Day at Sunnydale, KY in Ohio County on September 5, 1937. He was a graduate of Fordsville High School and a veteran of the US Army. He was discharged in 1958 after having served as a Personnel Specialist in the US and Germany. During a varied career, Mr. Day had been a newspaper editor in Huntingburg, IN and a hospital administrator in Huntingburg. He had also engaged in long haul trucking as an owner operator. Mr. Day was a member of the South Hampton Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by a daughter, Robin Day of Corpus Christi, TX and a son, Derek Day of Houston, TX; two brothers, Carlton Day and Cordell Day both of Owensboro; and five nieces.

Glenn Funeral Home is handling arrangements. There will be no visitation. Services will be private with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
