Charles H. Clark

Charles H. Clark, 79, of Haywood Court, Owensboro, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. He was born July 13, 1928 to the late Ruben and Helen Abell Clark in Daviess County. He was retired from Green River Steel, a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, and enjoyed playing golf, traveling and studying history.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Shirley Adkisson Clark, his children, Lansing Vargo and her husband, Gabor of Shelbyville, KY, Robin Clark of Louisville, Carye Weber and her husband, Steven of Louisville, and Chuck Clark and his wife, Mary of Windemere, FL; four grandchildren, Tyler, Paige, and Alex Clark and Clark Weber; two sisters, Marie Owen of Bowling Green and Barbara Rose of Austin, TX.

Services and visitation will be private. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday at his home at 3727 Haywood Court. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
