Charles "Chuck" William Gillaspie

Charles “Chuck” William Gillaspie, 56, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born December 10, 1967, in Tell City, IN, to Charlie Gillaspie and Virginia “Ginnie” Aldridge Blandford. Chucks daughter Beth was his whole world, he was the primary caregiver for her for 31 years. He had a huge heart for helping others, anyone at any time, even if it meant getting himself in a financial bind. Chuck also enjoyed horse racing and spending the time doing research on who he thought was going to be the big winner. 

He was preceded in death by his biological father, Charlie Gillaspie; his wife, Pamela Gillaspie; and several aunts and uncles.

Chuck is survived by his parents, Randall and Ginnie Blandford; his daughter, Laura Beth Gillaspie; his brothers, Roger Gillaspie and Randy (Jackie) Blandford; sisters, Cindy (Mike) Aull and Tammy (Jim) Henry; significant other, Shelley Donaldson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Gillaspie will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with his cousin Chuck Mitchell officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The burial will take place on Monday at 11 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery.
