Charles Anderson Bell

March 19, 1940 — December 17, 2007

Charles Bell, 67, of Owensboro passed away Monday, December 17, 2007 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born March 19, 1940 in Pleasant Ridge, he was the son of the late Artis and Virgie Bell; retired from Led's Clean Up Shop; was a Vietnam Era veteran of the US Army; and was a member of the Relevant Faith Church. Mr. Bell enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James Virgil Bell and Oscar Ray Action, and sisters, Janie Spencer and Alice Willis.

Survivors include his wife Linda F. Brice Bell; a daughter, Lanita L. Wilson of Owensboro; sons, Terry W. Bell and Lee Hamilton of Owensboro and Jermaine Bell of Hopkinsville; step-daughters, Angelia Kendall and Gwendolyn (and Sherman) Cowherd of Owensboro, and Linett Brice of Louisville; a step-son, Quentin Brice of Alabama; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; sisters, Louvenia Richards of Glenco, IL and Minnie Taylor of Hartford; a brother, Sylvester Bell of Chicago; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 2 P.M. Friday, December 21, 2007 at Glenn Funeral Home followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens where military honors will be provided by VFW Post 696. Visitation will be from 12-2 P.M. at the funeral home.
