Charles Wesley Bartlett

July 28, 1924 — March 15, 2003

Charles Wesley Bart Bartlett, 78, of 2303 Chateaugay Loop, Owensboro, died Saturday, March 15, 2003 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Hartford native was a Texas Gas retiree; member of the Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church; past president of the Methodist Men, KWC All-American Club,and Texas Gas Retirees; a former Big Eight High School Football official; and enjoyed music, theatre, card playing, fishing, reading and UK and KWC basketball. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. His wife of 51 years, Reba Edwards Bartlett also died March 15, 2003. He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Brooks Bartlett in 1952 and Brooks Edward Bartlett in 1962.


He is survived by a son, Wesley A. Bartlett of Richmond, VA; a half-sister Carol Faye Bartlett Farley of Woodlands, TX and a host of friends.

Funeral services are 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Monday and after 10 A.M. on Tuesday.
