Charles Anthony Ambs

Charlie A. Ambs, 49, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at his home. He was born on April 24, 1961 in Daviess Co., Ky. He had been a nurse's assistant and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. He enjoyed walking, drawing, watching wrestling, and listening to music, especially Dolly Parton and Janis Joplin. He loved animals especially cats, decorating his apartment, and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his companion, David Keith Proctor on May 13, 1999 and his father, John F. Ambs on October 18, 2007.

Surviving are his mother, Joann Ambs of Beaver Dam, a son, Andrew H. Ambs and a stepdaughter, Katherine Van Sickle, both of Owensboro, a sister, Kathy (Dwight) Morphew of Beaver Dam, four brothers, William R. "Bobby" Ambs, Larry M. Ambs, Ricky W. (Stacey) Ambs, and Jerry A. (Amy) Ambs, all of Owensboro, a half-brother, Jeremy Clark of Owensboro, nieces and nephews, Blake and Brett Morphew, both of Beaver Dam, Brandon W. Ambs of Falls City, NE, Tabatha Ambs, Tiffany O'Bryan, Bradley Ambs, Melissia Ambs, Faith Ambs, Heaven Ambs, Demerest Lyle, Victoria Lynn Ambs, Heather Moray Ambs, and Shelby Ann Ambs, all of Owensboro, and several great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held a later time. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
