Cedric William Shelton

September 30, 1920 — June 9, 2005

Cedric William Shelton, 84, of 2917 Greenhill Dr., Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at his home. He was born in Ohio Co., Ky. and was retired as a Crane Operator for 52 years from the Operating Engineers Union Local #181 in Henderson, Ky. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #696. He enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, and gardening. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara N. Shelton on June 3, 1999.

He is survived by his son Michael and his wife Minnie Shelton of Owensboro, a granddaughter, Amanda Taylor of Owensboro, a brother, Wayne Shelton of Owensboro, and a sister, Susan Greer.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 13, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
