Cecilia Agnes Bender

Cecilia Agnes Bender, 50, of 2734 S. Hampton Rd., Owensboro, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. and had worked in several restaurants in Owensboro including Pinocchio's Restaurant. She was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral and loved her cats and dog, fishing, painting pictures, and working puzzles. A number of years ago, she had participated in Special Olympics and had worked at the Opportunity Center.

She is survived by her parents, Joseph Paul and Rose Mary Bender of Owensboro, three brothers, Joseph Paul Bender, Jr. of Portland, Or., Stephen Wayne Bender of Owensboro, and James Bender and wife Christie Lynn of Philpot, three nieces, Melissa Carter, Sarah Blubaum, Jennifer Whitehouse, and a nephew, James Christopher Bender.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 17, at St. Stephen Cathedral with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and after 8:30 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
