Cecil Daniel, 71, of Cleveland, TN, formerly of Owensboro, passed away Monday, July 31, 2006 in a local healthcare facility in Cleveland. He was married November 24, 1955 to Shirley Turner Daniel. He was formerly employed at Western Kentucky Gas, Modern Welding Co., and then worked at National Southwire Aluminum for 15 years. Prior to his retirement, he served in the Kentucky National Guard for six years. He was a member of the Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lambert and Ophelia Ashby Daniel; one sister, Wilda Wall and son in law, Wayne A. Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Turner Daniel of Cleveland, TN, also formerly of Owensboro; one son, Brent Daniel and his wife, Julie of Ooltewah, TN; one daughter, Susan Hall of Cleveland, TN; one brother, Bobby Daniel of Owensboro, KY; two sisters, Sharon Russelburg and her husband, Gerald, Jeannette Drewry and her husband, Jerry, all of Owensboro, KY; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Logan and Laura Hall, and Carter and Hayden Daniel; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home, with Rev. Jack Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with James McDaniel, John Majors, Paul Bennett, Perry Horner, Tommy McGehee, David Peercy, and Ronnie Seaton serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 5:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and after 1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
