On Sunday, March 21, 2004, C.E. Red Felix, 87, gave life his final salute. He died peacefully at Owensboro Medical Health System.
Formerly of Hardy Arkansas, he resided with his half sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Garry Conrad of Owensboro. Red was a World War II Army Veteran, and lived in Phoenix, AZ, during his early years. He worked at many occupations including logging, mining and plumbing; and was retired from battery plate manufacturing company in Whittier, CA.
In addition to his half-sister, he is survived by a brother, Russell Felix of Phoenix and 11 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private. Mr. Felix will be laid to rest with his brother, Warren E. Felix who died in World War II, in the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to a favorite charity in Reds memory.
