Catherine Ruth Lewis

Catherine Ruth Lewis, 89, of Owensboro, died Thursday, September 2, 2010, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born December 3, 1920 to the late Paul Lewis, Sr. and Ruth O'Bryan Lewis in Cloverport, KY. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was in the Civil Service for the Air Force in Weisbaden, Germany, she finished her career as a legal secretary for Rummage, Kamuf, Yewell and Pace, attorneys at law.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Lewis, Jr., and a sister, Julia Ann Easton.

Survivors include her sisters; Nancy Sturgill and her husband, Barkley of Prestonsburg, KY, Mary Emeline Burckle, and her husband, George of San Clemente, CA; a sister-in-law, Jane Lewis of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Cloverport. Visitation will be 9:00 until 11:00 AM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
