Catherine Elizabeth Crisp

Catherine Elizabeth Crisp, 87, of 1405 W. 1st. St., Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at her home. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. on January 2, 1921 to the late Henry and Myrtle Harrison Coons. She was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also had worked at Bacon's for a number of years before retiring. She was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church where she had served as Sunday School Secretary for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Crisp on July 16, 1983.

Surviving are two daughters, Teri Akers and husband Pat of Rock Springs, Wy., and Beth Reid of Greenville, two sons. James Stephen Crisp and wife Carol and Larry G. Crisp and wife Sharon, all of Owensboro, nine grandchildren, Steve Crisp, Kimberly Wells, Michelle Embry, Robbie Crisp, Renee Roach, Matt Akers, Erin Akers, Andy Reid, and Sarah Schroader, thirteen great grandchildren, and three sisters, Anna Booker, Emma Blincoe, and Helen Jolly, all of Owensboro.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 12, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
