Catherine "Cathy" Hayden Menchise

Catherine ‘Cathy” Hayden Menchise, 63, of Owensboro, passed away December 17, 2024. She was born in Owensboro on April 12, 1961, to the late Norman Hayden and Betty Hayden Crowder. A 1979 graduate of Apollo High School, Cathy was determined to do well and had an incredible career. Starting from an entry position at the credit bureau rising to executive positions at various national banks, as Senior Vice President in Mortgage Banking. Along with her determination, Cathy will also be remembered for her beautiful smile and uplifting attitude. She was kind, generous, and giving. Cathy also loved taking trips with her late husband and together they enjoyed boating, cruising, going to the beach, and Jimmy Buffett. 

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Menchise; siblings, Denise Bartlett and Ronnie Hayden. 

She is survived by her daughter, Kristin Reed (Ed Wilson); grandson, Tate Reed; siblings, Deborah Sheperis (Cary Colman), Jimmy (Kim) Hayden, Phil (Cheri) Hayden, Vickie (Dean) Sipes, and Keith (Missi) Hayden; brothers-in-law, Mike Sheperis and Ed Bartlett; sister-in-law, Kim Hayden, along with a host of nieces, nephews and amazing cousins. 

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Ennichement will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
