Catherine G. Baird

Catherine G. Baird, 93, of Owensboro, died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at her home. She was born in Utica, KY and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. and Elizabeth Baird. She was the last of fourteen children being preceded in death by nine sisters and four brothers. She retired as a General Electric group leader after 30 years of service. She was a graduate and star basketball player for the Utica High School Basketball team.

She is survived by one cousin, Elizabeth Dorris of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Utica Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm till service time on Wednesday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Utica Church Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 61, Utica, KY 42376.
