Catherine Marie Adams

Catherine M. Adams, 80 of Philpot, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Owensboro Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 15, 1929 in Troy, IN to the late Irvin and Ethel Hicks Lindauer. She was a homemaker and had worked at General Electric. She was of the Catholic faith, loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and loved very much her special dog, Pepper.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Russell F. Adams, two daughters, Judy K. Quinn and Roxie A. Sommerville, both of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Chad Benefield (Kevin Bowlds), Kaci Holloway (Lenny), and Tia Sommerville, all of Owensboro, Misti Jecker (Jeff) of Jeffersonville, IN, Shea Sommerville of Louisville, three great grandchildren, Skylor, Taylor, and Jacob Quinn, all of Owensboro, and her special brother and sister-in-law, E. J. Lindauer and wife Shirley of Evanston, IN.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 3, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at Owensboro Place for the help and great care they gave Mrs. Adams and her family while they were there.
