Carrie Mae Whorley

December 30, 1915 — September 10, 2002

Carrie Mae Whorley, 86, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky formerly of Hancock County and Owensboro, died Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at Green Meadows. She was born in Breckinridge County December, 1915 the daughter of John and Alice Mae Sanders Falls. Her husband, William Whorley, preceded her in death in December 1974.

Mrs. Whorley had worked as a custodian at Hancock County School System. She was a member of Good Shepherd Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Whorley of Mt. Washington, KY and Larry Whorley of Atlanta; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three half-sisters, Mary Burnette of Owensboro, Anna Mae Bowman and Brownie Morgan, both of Tell City; one brother, Gilbert Kincaid.

Funeral services will 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2002 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Pastor John E. Morse. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2002 and after 8:30 a.m. Friday.
