Carolyn S. Wethington

Carolyn Peachie Wethington, 57, of 2313 Sir Wren Court, Owensboro, died Thursday, August 5, 2004, at her home. She was born June 13, 1947 to the late Clinton H. and Mary Ella Neff Butler in Daviess County. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wethington retired after 13 years of service with Green River Valley Institute where she was a Medicine Nurse. Her hobbies included reading, spending time with her family, playing the piano, and enjoying her cats.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Jim Wethington; 3 sons and their spouses, Keith and Tammy Wethington and Brian and Tresa Wethington, all of Owensboro, and Derek and Karen Wethington of Utica; 7 grandchildren, Aaron, Tyler, Nate, Jacob, Drake, Morgan and Kenton Wethington; 2 brothers, Rev. Harold Butler of Louisville and Carl Butler of Lewisport; 1 sister, Dot Coburn of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 12:30 Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, and after 9:00 Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church All-Purpose Building Fund.
