Carolyn Sue Sams, 70, of Owensboro died November 14, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Breckenridge County to the late William Everett and Anna Lou Aubrey Lindsey, and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Hawesville. Carolyn loves to crochet, sew and cook. She never met a stranger and she loved to talk to people. When not spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, who were the loves of her life, she was watching episodes of Gunsmoke.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Everett Franklin, Sr., Linda Louis McKinney and Samual Alvin Lindsey, Sr.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Sams; sons, Mike Lindsey, William Moore, Johnathan Sams, and Chuck Swaney (Teka); daughters, Anna Duke (Leo), Opal Simmons, Pamela Ramburger, and Kathy Harris (John); sister, Mildred Louise Coomes; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at Noon on Thursday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
