Carolyn Parks Midkiff

February 17, 1951 — September 19, 2003

Carolyn Parks Midkiff, 52, of 512 Stockton Drive, Owensboro, died Friday, September 19, 2003, at Owensboro Mercy Health System following a brief and intense illness that included hospitalization at Vanderbilt University Hospital. Mrs. Midkiff attended Western Kentucky University and had worked for over 30 years for Dr. W. Neil Padgett and the Womens Pavilion. She was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school for over 30 years. Her interests and activities include her membership in The Pilot Club and her active support of Kentucky Wesleyan College Basketball. Her father, Willard T. Parks, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of nineteen years, Bruce Allen Midkiff; her son, John Allen Midkiff of Owensboro; her mother, Beverly Grider Parks of Owensboro; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth Ken and Becky Parks of McDermott, Ohio; her sister and brother-in-law, Katheryn Parks Harmon and Rev. Scott Harmon, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina; and seven nieces and nephews, Keith Gibbs, Kecia Whittaker, Kerry Gibbs, Jennifer Snyder, David Parks, Sarah Henderson, and Rachel Harmon. Also surviving are several great nieces and great-nephews, along with many dear friends and co-workers

Services are at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home, where visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Eaton Memorial Baptist Church.
