Carolyn Faye Jewell

Carolyn Faye Jewell, 75, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, May 30 at the Heartford House. She was born in Ohio County on September 15, 1938 to the late Arine Maddox and Irene (Seaton) Maddox Young.

Carolyn was a Christian lady who worked as a nurse's aide and a private duty caregiver. She enjoyed staying at the log cabin they owned, fishing and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Virginia Mae Daugherty and Sandra Sue Jackson.

Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Gayla Sue Martin; a son, Jimmy Dickens and his wife, Cathy, who was like a daughter, all of Owensboro; 7 grandchildren, Byron, Tiffany, Blake, Angel, Danyel, Dustin and Justin; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Roberson (husband, Elvie); and a companion, Henry Martin Jewell.

The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, June 3 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Bro. Larry Bidwell will officiate. Burial will be at Nickel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 3-8 PM and on Tuesday after 12 at the funeral home.
