Carolyn J Crowdus

Carolyn J Crowdus, 78, of Owensboro, passed away May 30, 2023, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. She was born in Union Co., Kentucky on March 31, 1945, to the late Louis and Teresa Kellen. Carolyn was a graduate of Henderson Community College of Nursing and retired in 1999 from Methodist Hospital.  She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, crafting, playing cards, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Kellen and Jerry Kellen; and a sister, Patsy Long.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jerry Crowdus; her son, Jeff Crowdus; daughters, Katina Crowdus Brawner and Stacy Crowdus Haynes; grandchildren, Cati Brawner, Clay Brawner, Sloane Haynes, and Quin Haynes; siblings, Mary Sutherland, Ronnie Kellen (Debbie); sister-in-law Debbie Kellen.

A funeral Mass will be 10am Saturday at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown, KY. A burial will follow at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am till service time.

In the Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or St. Vincent DePaul.
