Caroline Josephine Fischer

Mrs. Caroline J. Fischer, 93, of Carmel Home, Owensboro, died Thursday, April 01, 2004, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 19, 1910, to the late John and Anna Wilmes Dockemeyer in St. Anthony, IN. She was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Alter Society. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed quilting, crocheting and working with ceramics.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Fischer, who died in 1973, and a son, George Fischer, who died in 2002.

Survivors include one son and wife, Donald (Vivian) Fischer of Rome; one daughter and husband, Betty (Alfred) Dobbins of Portland, OR; one daughter-in-law, Lucille Fischer of Whitesville; eleven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, at St. Martins Catholic Church, with burial in Mater Dolorosa. Visitation will be 3:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the Glenn Funeral Home, with prayers being said at 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
