Carol Louise Mason, 76, of Owensboro, Kentucky, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at her residence. She was born in Vincennes, Indiana to the late Kenneth and Joy Alton Bowers on April 29, 1933. The mother of six children she was a homemaker, who loved crocheting, baking, and sewing for her family and spent her outdoor time enjoying her roses and flowers. Mrs. Mason was a member of Central Presbyterian Church for 46 years and had an Honorary Life Membership of Presbyterian Women.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Franklin J. Mason; her children, Linda Ann Purdy and her husband Philip of Leavenworth, KS, Michael Allan Mason and his wife Ruth Ann of Owensboro, Jan Marie Hardesty and her husband Perry of Owensboro, Sharon Kay Fuchs and her husband Tom of Louisville, Rosemary Hodges and her husband Matt of St. Louis, MO, and Roger Ernest Mason and his wife Sandra of Kennesaw, GA; 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and 7 brothers and sisters.
Services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and after Noon on Saturday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
