Carol Lott

Carol Colley Lott, 81, of Decatur, Alabama, formerly of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at her home.  She was born June 8, 1942 in Tennessee to the late Newel Goston and Mildred Dove Martin Colley.  Carol was a person who never met a stranger and loved her life.  Her passion was “adopting” stray animals, much to the chagrin of her husband.  She loved going to the beach, had TV’s in every room—all turned on, was an avid reader, enjoyed all types of food, but most of all, loved her children and grandchildren very much.  Carol was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kara Lloyd and a sister, Linda Joan Rousch.

 Carol leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Ken; sons, Thomas Hopper (Elizabeth) of Tampa, Florida, Tim Hopper (Katherine) of Texas City, Texas, Mark Werner, and Chris Lott (Brende) of Campbellsville; two daughters, Kymberlee Robins (Scott) of Owensboro and Tia Austin (Chriss) of Nashville, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; a brother, Thomas N. Colley (Gail) of Raleigh, North Carolina; and a son-in-law, Levi Lloyd.

 Funeral services for Carol will be Saturday, January 27 at 3 PM at Peck Funeral Home in Decatur.  Further services will be at 2 PM Monday, January 29, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory in Owensboro.  Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from Noon until the time of services at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
