Carol Marie Beyke Hodskins

Carol Marie Beyke Hodskins, 77, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Sorgho on March 7, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Hattie Whittaker Beyke; was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church; and was a registered nurse who had worked at Mercy Hospital and the Hermitage. She enjoyed camping, going out to eat, crocheting, and playing the piano. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Juanita Vowels, Jeannette Rummage, and Cecelia Ebelhar; a brother, Tom Beyke; and a great-grandchild, Hunter Williams.


Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Paul F. Hodskins; her children, Kim (Steve) Marksberry of Owensboro, Jim (Becky) Hodskins of Goshen, KY, Tim ( Linda) Hodskins, Kenny (Vickie) Hodskins, and Bill ( Lawanna) Hodskins all of Owensboro, and Linda (Victor) Green of Fairview, TX; 14 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother Bernard (Pattie) Beyke of Sorgho; and a sister, Maryetta (Cotton) Schrecker of Rome. .
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with Father John Meredith officiating followed by entombment in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
