Carol Frank, 71, of Owensboro passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Heartford Hospice after yielding courageously and gracefully to cancer. She was born Dec 5, 1941 in Owensboro to the late James and Nell Lovelace. She was a woman of many talents in knitting, sewing, and quilting and enjoyed sharing them with her colleagues and customers at Hancock Fabrics.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Carisa Ailloni, husband Adam, and two grandchildren Adin and Eli, who she treasured. She recently spent a joyous and healthy six weeks with in their home in Edina, Minnesota. She is also survived by: older brother Jim Lovelace and wife Sandy of Atlanta for whom she had great respect; and younger sister Jo Nell Cline, husband Sherman, of Owensboro, with whom she resided for the last weeks of her life, and truly adored. She is also survived by niece Amanda, who recently was married to Cameron Brooks. Carol willed herself well enough to attend their wedding several weeks ago, which was a personal goal of hers. She is also survived by nieces Leslie Lovelace and Cyndi Lovelace Young, whose wedding she also recently attended, and many great nieces and nephews, and extended family in Owensboro and throughout the country. She has many friends in the area and she will be truly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 3pm Saturday, November 23rd, at Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church. She will be interred at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, at Carol's request, memorial contributions may be made to Heartford House Hospice, where she spent her final days.
