Carol Sue Ecleberry

Carol Sue Ecleberry, 84, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born in Newark, Ohio to the late Elmer and Pauline Garlinger Kinney.

Carol was a graduate of Mt. Carmel School of Nursing in Columbus, Ohio. She worked as an RN in Newark, Ohio before becoming a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. Mrs. Ecleberry was involved in her children’s countless activities, volunteered at their schools and kept a pristine home. Carol was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. Those familiar with her daily schedule will know that she was a loyal and avid fan of the TV show General Hospital for more than 60 years.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald L. Ecleberry; children, Jay Ecleberry (Jennifer) and Rhonda Ecleberry Goetz; grandchildren, Colby Goetz, Taylor, Emory and Keely Ecleberry; a brother, Gary Kinney (Carol); and nieces, Jennifer Krupp and Tricia Moore.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 17 from 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. A private service will be held at Owensboro Memorial Gardens where she will be entombed.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Heartford House, C/O Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathen’s Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
