Carol S. Drury

Carol S. Drury, 73, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. She was born in Owensboro to the late J. Millard and Louise Froelich Haynes. After raising her family in Louisville she returned to Owensboro to be closer to brothers and sisters.

Ms. Drury was a loving and dedicated homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and praying for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ava Jackson and a brother, J.M. Haynes.

She is survived by daughter Stacey Sherek and her husband, Paul of Noblesville, IN; son Mike Drury and his wife, Marty of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Jessica, Emily and Paul David Sherek of Noblesville, IN, Joshua, Jake and Jason Drury of Dallas, TX; sisters, Patty Thomas, Gloria Baker, Debbie Thompson and Rhonda Troutman; a brother, Steve Haynes; many nieces and nephews, including Natalie Selby, a niece that devoted much time to love and care of Carol in her final days; and her beloved canine companion, Foxy.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, May 14 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
Visitation will also be on Saturday, after 1 PM at the funeral home.
