Carol Rice Colburn

Carol Colburn, born August 2, 1928, died on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at her home in Owensboro, KY. Carol graduated from Daviess County High School in 1947 and married Charles Lindbergh Colburn in 1950.  Carol worked at Daviess County Hospital for 35 years and continued working at various businesses and organizations until she was 89 years of age. The Joe Ford Nature Center was the last and possibly most gratifying job she held. She also was a longtime member of the Owensboro Art Guild, chairing the annual juried art show for several years.  

She was preceded in death by husband Charles Colburn, son Mark Colburn, and daughter Patricia Colburn.  

She is survived by daughters Linda Colburn Seagle (Joseph), and Sandy Colburn Adams, and sons John Colburn (Corey) and Jason Colburn, along with eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home on Hartford Road on Saturday from noon until 2:00 pm.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.
