Carol Sue Bivens, 79, of Owenbsoro, KY, passed away peacefully February 21, 2018, at her home with her family at her side. She was born March 26, 1938 in Evansville, IN to the late Paul R. and Anna Sue Hudson. Carol retired as secretary of Calvary Temple Assembly of God where she was also organist and charter member for over fifty years. She most recently attended First Free Will Baptist Church. Carol was gifted with many talents including sewing, crafts, singing, and playing musical instruments. She was dubbed "Little Lady" by the love of her life, Dean, but her favorite title was that of "Nanny." Her family was her pride and joy and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of sixty-two years, Harold Dean Bivens; a son, Ricky (Karen) Bivens, of Owensboro, Daughter, Susan (Rick) Keller of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Misty (David) Boarman, Jennifer (Andy) Millay, all of Owensboro, Eric (Jodie) Bivens, of Falling Waters, WV, and Sarah (Frank) Ramos, of Marble Falls,TX; ten great-grandchildren, Allison, Ian, Shaleena, Ellis, Isaiah, Sadie, Eli, Gage, Grayden, and Savannah; a twin sister, Sharon (Jack) Ashby, of Owensboro; a brother, Jerry (Judy) Hudson, of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10am Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Tim Hall and Rev. Eric Bivens officiating. Visitation will be from 2pm to 8pm Friday and will begin 8:30am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
