Carol Ballard

Carol Ballard, 65, of Owensboro, died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was retired from Commonwealth Aluminum after 22 years, and was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. She loved animals, especially her pets; Snickers, Alex and Patches, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Malcolm Ogle in 1955, and her mother Senada Ogle Craft in 2005.

Surviving her are two daughters; Stacy (Gary) Winner of Lexington, Ky., and Tammie (James) Harrington of Owensboro, grandchildren; Dustin and Hadley Ballard, Bailey, Hunter and Ashton Winner, all of Lexington, Dakota and Kendra Coomes and Catherine Harrington, all of Owensboro, sisters; Rita Brown of Clinton Il., Janet Taylor of Wapella, Il., and June (Ed) Thiery of Troy, IN. a brother; Mike (Leanne)Craft of Hawesville, Ky. and an uncle; Norman McFarling of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis McFadden officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in Hawesville. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Humane Society.
