Carmel Torrez, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2017. Carmel was born in Knox City, TX on June 30, 1944 to the late Ysrael Rivas and Manuella Rodriguez. Carmel was a welder and forklift operator and worked construction all over the country. She loved to crochet, play computer games, and dance.
Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, Manuel L. Torrez; daughters, Stella Martinez (Amadeo), Tina Ronning (Jim), and Christy Guzman (Art); son, Sam Torrez (Danielle); 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren
Services will be private with burial taking place at Resurrection Cemetery.
Care has been entrusted to Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory
