Carlos Lee Kassinger

Carlos Lee Kassinger, 65, went peacefully to Heaven with the Lord on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 20, 1952 to the late Frank and Mary Frances Kassinger. Carlos was a licensed plumber for 40 years and retired from Ernie Davis and Sons Mechanical Inc. He took pride in the dedication and value of work.

Carlos enjoyed working outdoors and spending time with his family, never met a stranger, and was the first to help others. He embraced everyone and made others feel welcomed and comforted. Carlos was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin "Bubby" Kassinger; and his sister-in- law, Paula Horn.

Carlos is survived by his wife and best friend of 41 years, Marilyn Patty Horn Kassinger. His spirit and good will lives on in his daughter, Jenny Kassinger; son, Steven Kassinger and his wife Monica (Goetz) Kassinger. He has three precious grandchildren that he adored and cherished, Lily, Weston, and Annalise Kassinger.

Carlos is also survived by his sisters, Lois Calhoun (Ronnie), Gail Miles (Dale), and Vicky Kassinger; brother, Doug Kassinger; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shelia Free, Becky Horn (Don Preuss), Judy Hood (Gerald), Rose Foster (Stewart), Nelda Flahardy (David), Tony Horn, and Mike Horn. He was also blessed with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Please join the family in celebrating Carlos' life with a funeral mass at 10 AM Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville with Fr. Brian Roby officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday from 2 PM till 8 PM with prayers at 7:00 PM, and on Saturday from 8 AM till 9 AM at the funeral home.
