Carlos L. Edmonson

Carlos L. Edmonson, 72, of 771 Greenbriar Road, Utica, died Thursday, October 12, 2006, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born September 20, 1934 to the late William Everett and Myrtle Lanham Edmonson in Daviess County. He retired from General Electric Small Motors division, and was a member of the Utica Baptist Church. He loved to go hunting, camping and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sue Edmonson on September 8, 1996.

Survivors include his daughters, Carole Christian and her husband, Terry of Owensboro, Carla Butler and her husband, Rod of Utica, Rebecca Edmonson of Louisville; six grandchildren, Carlos, Crystal and Terry M. Christian, Alexis Hall, Ashely and Trey Butler; one great-grandchild, Gabriel Christian; his brothers, Larry Edmonson of Utica and William Everett Edmonson, Jr. of Thruston; his sisters, Faye Page of Utica and Joyce Phillips of Owensboro.

Services will be 2:30 PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Utica Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday and after 10:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 696 at the gravesite.
