Carla Kaye Collier Bellwood

Carla Kaye Collier Bellwood, 48, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Bellwood was a Teacher Assistant at Audubon Elementary School, a graduate of Owensboro High School, had attended Precious Blood Church and had loved UK Basketball and sunbathing by the pool. Her courage and determination were an inspiration to all. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Basham Collier and a brother, Jerry Collier.

Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Edward Joseph Bellwood; two daughters, Laurie Cox and her husband Michael of Bowling Green and Lindsey Blair and her husband Matt of Louisville; her father, Dr. Isham Wade Collier of Crosbyton, TX; two sisters, Belinda Ellison of Crosbyton, TX and Paula Potts of Lubbock, TX; one grandson, Ryne Blair of Louisville; and another grandson, Luke Blair, on the way.

Services will be held on Thursday, March 16 at 1 p.m. in the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 11 a.m. on Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
