Carl A. Wagner, Jr. (Rusty), of Owensboro, died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at his home. He was born June 2, 1936 in Evansville, IN, to the late Carl Wagner, Sr. and Delores Hobbs Wagner.
Rusty served in the Air Force, worked construction with his son Mark as a self employed contractor for many years, and retired after 16 years in the maintenance department with the Owensboro Public Schools. He enjoyed restoring cars (especially MG's), fishing, NASCAR, UK basketball and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Molly Sue Wagner; son, Mark Wagner; five daughters, Vicki (John) Blincoe, Patti Winstead, Angel (Mike) Peacock, Tina (Bobby) Melton, Amy (Kurt) Decker, all of Owensboro; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Terri Price of Evansville, IN; and an aunt Marcella "Babe" Daugherty.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
