Carl M. Dalrymple, 88, died on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Lexington, MA. September 20, 1922. He graduated from Arlington High School, Arlington, MA. and Bentley College in Boston, MA.
He was selected for a two year business training course with the General Electric Company in Schenectady, NY. In 1950 he moved to Tell City, IN. where he began a career with General Electric in financial management. In 1969 he transferred to Owensboro where he retired in 1985 after 37 years with General Electric.
Carl was a WWII veteran having served three years with the Army Air Corps.
He was an avid tennis player and fan. He liked golf and traveling.
Carl was a member of the Tell City Lodge #623 F&AM.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia, a daughter, Susan ( Richard) Lefebvre and two grandsons Jonathan D. and Mark A. Lefebvre, of Strongsville, OH., and three nephews, Wayne, Gordon Jr. and Gary Dalrymple, all of New Hampshire.
Memorial contributions may be made to either Hospice of Western Kentucky or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
