Carl Brothers

Missionary Carl Brothers, age 59, went to be with his heavenly Father on May 25, 2016 under the care of Hospice. He was born in Madisonville, KY, on March 5, 1957 to the late Archie Carl and Jennie V. Thompson Brothers. Missionary Carl began his work for the Lord as a youth pastor; he went on to serve as manager of a Christian radio station, Christian school administrator and teacher, missionary to Canada and India, and pastored many churches across the United States. Above all, Carl loved his family and serving the Lord.

He was preceded in death by a brother Warren Edwards, and sisters Janet Edwards and Fredia Johnson.

Brother Carl is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Donna Brothers, his children Rebecca Lynn Hopkins (Jason), Jonathan Danial Brothers (Leah), Amanda Dawn Brothers, and Bethany Vee Hall (Caleb); and grandchildren Violet, Lilianna, Carli, Abigail, Andrew, River, Matthew, Moriah, and Katelynn.

The funeral service for Brother Brothers will be 3:00 pm Sunday May 29, 2016 at Harvest Baptist Temple with Pastors Jon Brothers, Thomas Freeman, Rick Brann, Greg Dowdy, Troy Bowers, and Kellan Lamb officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm on Friday May 27 and 12pm to 6pm Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. A committal service will be held Tuesday May 31, Christ Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
