Candace Willett MacDonald, 62, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born June 8, 1953 in Owensboro to the late William Howard and Patricia Sampley Willett. Candace was a homemaker and member of Lewisport Baptist Church. She had recently been attending Owensboro Christian Church. While in Lewisport, she had been a volunteer at the schools where her children attended, and at church, was a Sunday School teacher, and volunteered in the churches after school program and the Girls Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and working in her yard raising flowers. Candace was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Willett in 1994.

Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Robert "Bob" C. MacDonald, her son, John Paul MacDonald and wife Nicole of Webster Groves, MO, her daughter, Kami Hershey and husband Justin of Owensboro, two grandchildren, Cameron Hershey and Caroline MacDonald, a brother, Gary Willett of Owensboro, an aunt, Tootie Young of Lewisport, and several nieces and nephews, Brent Willett and Emily Willett, both of Owensboro, Shellie Hardcastle of Bowling Green, and Shanon Simons of Nashville, TN.

Private services will be held. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
