Calvin T. Kasinger, Jr., 71, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born in Daviess County to the late Calvin T. Kasinger, Sr. and Frances M. Moore Kasinger.
Mr. Kasinger retired from Bimbo Bakery after 35 years of service. He attended the Salvation Army Church. Calvin enjoyed barbecuing, farming and spending time with family, especially grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Genon F. Kasinger and a daughter, Kim Kennedy, both in 2015.
Calvin is survived by his children, Holly Moore (David II) of Rockport, KY, Brandon Kasinger (Brenda) and Bridget Williams (Greg), both of Owensboro; grandchildren, David Moore III (Grace), Katie Moore, Alisha Pierce, Jessie Kasinger, Ashley Williams and Breanna Kasinger; a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Moore; brothers, Sherman Kasinger (Sharon) of Owensboro, Randall Kassinger (Nila) of Owensboro and Bruce Kassinger of Franklin, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at Noon, Saturday, March 3rd at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 3 to 8pm Friday and after 10am Saturday at the funeral home. Tiffany May will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho.
