Calvin S. Bennett

Mr. Calvin S. Bennett, 79, of Anderson, IN, died Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at Countryside Manor in Anderson after an extended illness. He was born March 28, 1924 in Beaver Dam, to Eckles and Elizabeth (Stevens) Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Betty Lou Bennett, a brother, Alva Bennett, and a sister, Shirley Hobleich.

He was a Army veteran of WWII, a member of Huntsville Community Church, and a avid fisherman. He retired from Container Corporation and was the owner of Bennett & Campbell Heating and Cooling.

Survivors include, his wife, of 35 years, Katherine (Elliott) Bennett, three children, Cecelia & husband, John David Loveless of Anderson, IN, Jack & wife Julee Bennett of Frankton, IN, Tim & wife Darlene Bennett of Anderson, IN, siblings, Ted & wife Ruth Bennett of Anderson, IN, Delmar & wife Clara Bennett of Jeffersonville, IN, Clara & husband Charles Black of Beaver Dam, KY, Rev. Charles & wife Doris Bennett of Owensboro, seven grandchildren, Keri & husband Jeff Kardatzke, Toni Hazelbaker, Travis Bennett, RaeAnna Bennett, Dwayne Burke, Jaime & husband Jeff Shaw and Chad Clevenger, great-grandchildren, Zackary Clabaugh, Lindsey Kardatzke, Samantha Hazel Baker, Emily Kardatzke and Shaley Baldwin.

Services will be 2:30 PM, Saturday, at Loose Funeral Home in Anderson, IN, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 till 8:00 PM, Friday, at the funeral home.
