Callie Hollingshead Oneal

Callie Hollingshead ONeal, 70, of 1004 Holly Ave., Owensboro, fell asleep quietly Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at her home. She was born on January 3, 1933 in Tillatobia, Miss. To the union of John Simeon and Cordia (Gardner) Hollingshead. Both her parents, a brother, Jonas Hollingshead, and two sisters, Dorothy and Henrietta Cole preceded her in death. Callie attended school in the St. Louis Public School System. She was employed at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis until relocating to Owensboro where she worked and retired from the Roosevelt House Senior Citizens Facility.

Callie was united in matrimony to Curtis ONeal on September 24, 1970 in St. Louis. There were no children born from this union.

Callie will be remembered by her husband, Curtis, sisters, Corine Brown, Shirley (Isaac) Weathersby, brother, Fred Cole, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be 12 NOON Friday, December 12, 2003, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 9:00 A.M. Friday.

She fought a good fight. She finished the course. She kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give her that day and not to her alone, but unto all them also that loves his appearing., 2nd Timothy 4, 7-8.
