C. Bennett

C. Bud Bennett, 79, of Utica died Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at his home. He was born in Switzerland, IN on January 2, 1923 the son of Russell and Grace Lester Bennett.

Mr. Bennett retired from auto body repair and was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He was a member of all units of Independent Order of Odd Fellows and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Mary Bennett; a son, Howard Lee Bennett of Nineveh, IN; two stepsons, Edgar Bruce of Owensboro and Archie Bruce of Winston-Salem, NC; two stepdaughters, Marie Stites and Edwina Istre, both of Owensboro; a granddaughter; 16 step-grandchildren; three great-grandsons; nine step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Wilford Bennett of Surprise, Ariz.; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2002 at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Daviess County. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
