Byron Wayne Quisenberry,75, of West Hills, California, passed away Friday August 4, 2017. He was born March 26, 1942 in Owensboro, to the late Reverend Charles and Phyllis Quisenberry. Byron graduated from Daviess County High School in 1960, attended Murry State, and then went on to graduate with a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston. He stayed in Texas and became a teacher after graduating from college. Byron's true passion was working in the film industry. He moved to California and was a professional stuntman for over thirty years. Byron was in many movies, worked on several television shows and he also wrote and directed several of his own movies. He was very athletic, funny, thoughtful, caring, and would do anything for his family. Byron was a very kind soul and will forever be truly loved and missed.
Byron is survived by his sons, Kevin Quisenberry of California and Sean Quisenberry of Tennessee; brother, Dr. Larry Quisenberry, retired professor of Owensboro Community College, and his wife Dr. Delia Quisenberry of Texas; nephew, Dr. Thomas Quisenberry and his wife Dr. Amy Quisenberry, and great nephew and niece Lincoln and Evelyn Quisenberry all of Kentucky; niece, Lauren Skalomenos and her husband Christopher Skalomenos of Texas.
He is also survived by his sister, Faith Culligan of California; nieces, Aleisha Hasson and her husband Steve Hasson of California, and Paige Davis of Indiana; great nieces, Brianna Moreau, Megan Hasson, Sophia Hasson and great nephew, Benjamin Hasson; all of California.
The funeral service will be 10 am Monday, August 14 at the chapel of Owensboro Memorial Garden's Cemetery for family and close friends, with Myke Templeton officiating. The address for the cemetery is 5050 Highway 144 Owensboro, Kentucky 42303.
