Bruce Woodward

Bruce Woodward, 88, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017. Born in Daviess County, a son of Joseph and Johnnie Mae Sullivan Woodward, Mr. Woodward was a 1946 graduate of Owensboro High School. He had been a purchasing agent for the Kentucky Highway Department and retired as the manager of Toohey's Auto Supply. Following his retirement, he worked as a courier for BB&T. Mr. Woodward was an active member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and the Good News Sunday School class. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #130 for 67 years. Mr. Woodward was preceded in death by a son, Brian Scott Woodward, and his parents.

Mr. Woodward is survived by his wife of almost 56 years Jacquelyn Woodward; his sons Brad Woodward and his wife Danielle, of Owensboro and Kyle Woodward and his wife Molly of Bardstown; his granddaughters Brittany Woodward and Breanna Woodward; and his brothers, Kenneth Woodward of Cypress, CA, and Bobby Woodward and Marshall Woodward, both of Owensboro.

The funeral service for Mr. Woodward will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the memorial fund of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church or Hospice of Western Kentucky.
