Bruce Presley Winstead, 68, of Owensboro, passed away April 26, 2018. He was born in Owensboro August 23, 1949 to the late Samuel Presley Winstead and Lee Chester Crump. Bruce was a graduate of Western Sr. High. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and after being honorably discharged, Bruce began his career as a truck driver. Bruce had a big heart, was a sharp dresser and could fix anything. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, James Crump; sister, Sara Grundy; brothers, James Roy Winstead, Samuel Winstead and William Winstead.
He is survived by his children, Bianca Griffin, Amanda Brooks (Martin), Courtana Surrell (Jo), Brooklynn Johnson, Christopher Acton, Brandon James, Megan Winstead, Lamar Winstead, Marla Jo Wright (Jimmy), Taiwanna Bradford, Byron Lee Tinsley (Nakeisha), Amy Catlett (Donnie), Anissa Curtis (Melvin), Tyrone Lilly, Symone Winstead, Brian Watson and Zelvitta Parm; Brothers, Walter Winstead (Anita), Lawrence Winstead, Wilbur Winstead; sisters, Gloria Horne and Bettye Burns and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
