Bruce E. Pepper

Bruce E. Pepper, 50, of Owensboro passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at home. He was born in Mattoon, Illinois to Donald and Shirley Pepper.

Bruce was a 1982 graduate of Russellville High School. He went on to earn a BS in business from Western Kentucky University and a BS in mechanical engineering from Indiana State University.

Bruce had been employed as a mechanical engineer at the Metalsa plant in Owensboro. He was a big sports fan, and especially enjoyed football and basketball. Bruce was also passionate about riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. He will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. Pepper in 2010.

Bruce is survived by a daughter, Nicole Pepper; a son, Philip Pepper, both of Bloomington, IN; his mother, Shirley Pepper of Owensboro; a sister, Debbie Pepper of Hendersonville, TN; a brother, David Pepper of Huron, OH; an aunt, Alberta Yost of East Alton, IL; uncles, Orville Fiedler (Norma) of Bethalto, IL and Harold Boede of Springfield, IL; extended family and many friends.

The funeral service will be at 2 PM on Saturday, December 28 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Gene Henke will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Saturday after 11 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions, for the education of his children Nicole and Philip Pepper, may be made at any Fifth Third Bank location.
