Bruce Lancaster

July 22, 1961 — April 4, 2008

Bruce Lancaster, 46 of Owensboro, died Friday, April 4, 2008 at his home. Born in Daviess County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Harold Anthony Lancaster and Mae Kathleen Cook Lancaster. He was employed at Regional Water Resource Agency for 15 years. He attended Blessed Mother Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer; volunteered with Cub Scout Pack 611 of Buena Vista Baptist Church, and Boy Scout Troop 611 of First Presbyterian Church; coached baseball for Country Heights School; and was there for anyone that needed help.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Small Lancaster; his sons, Ryan and Joshua; a daughter, Ashley, all at home; his mother, Kathleen Lancaster, of Owensboro; brothers, Tony (Donna) Lancaster of Charleston, SC, Rick (Robin) Lancaster of Philpot, Steve (Judy) Lancaster of LaVergne, TN, and Johnny (Lana) Lancaster, of Owensboro; sisters, Connie (Dale) Hamilton of Knottsville, Margaret Lancaster, Becky (Larry) Franey, and Terri Lancaster, all of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 1-6 pm on Sunday and after 9 am on Monday. Services will be held on Monday at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 pm, with Fr. Freddie Byrd presiding. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Boy Scouts of America, Pack 611 and Troop 611.
